Different Types of Split Tests
There are essentially 3 different types of split tests, and whist all 3 essentially perform the same function (conversion testing) their application is subtly but significantly different.

A debate continues to rage on about which split testing method is superior, and despite common perception that Multivariate Split Testing is superior, experts know that all 3 testing methods have an application.
